OHARA is an established managed care company in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. OHARA opened its' doors in January as a limited liability company. OHARA was initially developed to meet the managed care needs of insurance carriers specializing in workers compensation. In January 1997 services were established for the group health market. In December 1998, OHARA became URAC accredited in the areas of Health Utilization Management Standards and Workers Compensation Utilization Management Standards. OHARA is currently seeking additional accreditation in Case Management and Disease Management from URAC. In 2002, the company relocated to an office building on Technology Circle in Sioux Falls, providing area for growth and improved technological capabilities.

OHARA offers a full spectrum of Managed Care Services to insurance carriers, third party administrators and self insured employers in the mid-west region. These services now include: Case Management for workers' compensation injuries, Preferred Provider Organizations, Bill Review, Vocational Rehabilitation, Life Care Planning and Pharmacy Benefit Programs. This service area has expanded to include the state of Iowa. In Minnesota, services through OHARA, LLC include case management and vocational rehabilitation for workers' compensation injuries.
